Hedge to Grow close to Wall

    Another good alternative which is not too vigorous but very attractive is Photinia Red Robin.

    Have my front hedge as a double row! Yes, it is nasty but it does the job

    My ones keep their leave through the winter and only shed them in spring as the new arrive.

    Years ago at Beckington, Wiltshire there use to be large topiary battleship, when house was sold, new owner had it cut down.:(

    How bad is that! you would think that would be in the terms of sail .....Ooops ! that was a bad one.....
