I fitted a wickes laminate black worktop... My girlfriend came just for 2 hour with me and asked how she can help. So i said she can clean the glue around the sink after masking tape what i used to make marks. She used soap pads what she found and made tiny scrathes around. The worktop became matt and whitish.any idea how can i polish it up or give back the shine? Many thanks for any help as i finished everything. I dont want to replace the worktop.
Hi, there are a number of products on the market which may help. try searching for work top restoration. Alternatively try using black T cut polish.
Unless you can live with the scratches, it's new worktop or new girlfriend Scratches always look really bad on new worktop, but after a while the whole top gets microscratches so it's less of a big deal. Gloss laminate worktops always scratch.
I've had reasonable success with these products. But not sure if laminate will respond so well. Take your time and don't use too much pressure.
