The room is a small kitchen 3.3m long by 2.9m wide ceiling high 2.44.

    JCC website's calculator says 4x1 for a 3m x 3m kitchen or 2x3 for 4m x3m kitchen.

4 would be ample. They're bright, and a wider beam.

It's a nearly square room. It needs an evenly distributed amount of spots. If you have 6 you'll have dark and bright areas. And with 2 x 3 people divide the room by thirds each way put the two on the third marks, and then the three on the third marks too. This clearly gives an uneven spacing and will leave your counters in the darkest areas and possibly, in fact likely in shadow of the user. I tried to explain this recently and got ignored and cover ruled by the customer who marked them himself using a laser tape measure as a chalk line. Ingenious but over complicated whilst ignoring basic logic.

  4. 4 down lighters would probably provide enough light
