I had an emergency call out this morning and had to go to the garage, a run of 8 council owned garages with up and over doors, to pick up stock, went back there tonight to pick up what I need for tomorrows job and the door was open. My heart sank when I saw it but nothing had been touched. There was a Festool TS55 sitting on the CL mini extractor at the front with a Fein multimaster on top of that and a Makita mitre saw balancing on the top, that was next to an Elu flipover saw and all the rest of my tools and stock. The door locks automatically but I can't have slammed it hard enough. That's not happening again!
I did a similar thing the other day and left my van side door open for a couple of hours in the street, van full of tools, nothing touched.
I carry a lot of mechanic tools, trolley jacks etc all in the side door, my side door is a cupboard it doesn't allow you access to the rear of the van. So a few quids worth of tools.
some young lad left his car keys in the door on the road at about 0900 my son noticed them about 1100--lucky boy lol
Nowt wrong with Liverpool, been there twice, to catch a ferry to the IoM, didn't hang around long enough to have anything nicked.
So have you found out who left the Festool TS55, CL mini extractor, Fein multimaster and Makita mitre saw in the garage yet? Or will you be keepin' them?
Most of those are replacements from the last time my van got robbed and the cheeky gets dumped my cheap tools to get at the good stuff by the bulkhead. The family that did that have been moved out of the village.
