I have an inspection chamber build using these: http://www.clark-drain.com/products/underground/no-series/192/ and topped off with this cover: http://www.clark-drain.com/products/covers-and-gratings/no-series/140/ The cover is on a sloped area that I'm grading at the moment and I would like the cover to be flush with the slope. How can I go about fitting this (or another) cover to the riser so that it is flush with the slope? I presume I can't just cut the riser at an angle as that would give me an oval that the round cover wouldn't fit on. Thanks
How steep is the slope, there is a bit of play on the cover to raiser, but not a lot, if it's a steepish slope it may be better using a rectangular cover and concreting it down around the raiser, you will have to cut the raiser to the angle of the slope.
Aye it's a reasonably steep slope. I was wondering if I'd have to get a different cover. So just cut the riser to the right length and then concrete the square cover over the top? Thanks
Yes pretty much, the rectangle cover will leave four corner around the raiser, just fill these with concrete and smooth it out, making sure the lid fits before the concrete sets
