I've always gone to the pub at Sunday lunch time. Me & my dad were waiting for it to open at 12 0'clock, as my mum would have our dinner on the table at 1. I've maintained the drinking tradition for 50 years, but as for Sunday roasts...Weather permitting, it's a bbq on Sunday.
Which can be surprisingly delicious and healthy these days malkie with all the marinades and seasoning around. You never had non of that when I was a nipper. It was a case of a charcoaled burger and sausage in a bun back then. and people used to chop their own salad I find it hard to believe that people spend double the price on salad and veg just cause someone else has washed and chopped it They buy those carrot batons and they dry up within days . And the new potatoes how hard can it be to melt a bit of minted butter and do your own people can be shockingly lazy in the kitchen nowadays shame coz preparing and cooking can be ever so therapeutic I suppose its back to the point of a lot of people being so busy and stressed all the time
You got too much time on your hands You're right though, how hard is it to prep a few veg, lazy bar stewards.
Phil I was wondering if you could do me a little favour later. I don't, as you know, like to make a nuisance of myself but I would ever so much like that November rain guns n roses song on my little blog. Could you magic it on there for me later I'd be ever so grateful
