mixer tap

    Hi All

    well today i took my mixer tap apart expecting to change the cartiridge and it doesnt have one ( at least it isnt like the pics i have seen )

    i guess the leak is from this hole

    anything i can do ? ? ? apart change the tap

    What about the O ring on the spout, might be more than one, they tend to persish or leak,spout being continually being swivelled.

    both look fine, if you look at the pic, you can see a hole in the side

    I see slot, must be there for a purpose.

    If the tap leaks when both hot and cold are turned off, then water must be getting past one or both valves, even if it appears to leak from the spout.

    What you have taken out is the spout. The valves (cartridges) are likely to be one either side of the spout. Take the handles off and you should be able to remove the valves. Hot and cold supplies isolated of course.

    The tap only leaks when the cold is turned on, it somewhat comes from the cover of the lever, which is the side of the hole in the picture
    the other side doesnt have that " slot " for the hot

    I will have a look under the handle, i guess the side of the " slot "
