What are you all using I have 2 cheap ones from screw fix. I need something better with a top. has to fit in the van as well.. Seen some Stanley fat max ones for £60. they look good
I have a pair of Toughbuilt C650 trestles, sawhorse has 2x4 support arms that transform 2 sawhorses into a solid jobsite table. Got a pair of 4'x4' & a 6' x2'6" 18mm ply worktop I can fix to the timber rail. http://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/product/...670005128-Saw-Horse--Adjustable-Jobsite-Table
Loving that how they can adapt to a table think this could be a winner. Wonder if there is a way of being able to fold the table to store easy. without making it weak..
C550 not height adjustable. http://www.toughbuilt.com/sawhorses/ And I have the 700 not the 650 version. http://www.ffx.co.uk/tools/product/...Saw-Horse--Adjustable-Jobsite-Table-Twin-Pack
+1 for the toughbuilt. You could also get one of these http://www.axminster.co.uk/ujk-technology-hdf-valchromat-top-for-twist-dogs-102538 (or get the jig to make one) and then you can use benchdogs or hold downs
I have couple of pairs of these clamps & few holes in the ply bench top to accept them. Hold-down capacity is about 3-1/2", less the worktop thickness, can also use them as stops. And same hole in worktop will also accept Irwin Quick Grip clamps.
I have a couple of folding trestles (though a pair of 700's has been on my list for a good while now) and a 6' x 3' piece of Medite MDF perforated with holes for bench dogs (poor man's MFT). It's similar to this: http://www.multifunctionslab.com Takes up very little space when stored upright. Though I am thinking I wouldn't mind building one of these: That way I can get most of the kit and a bench on site in one trip.
It is quite neat. The trolley could be a bit difficult to get in and out of a van and up and down stairs? You could build something like this to put the top on
I have a couple of those on the workshop bench but bought a couple of these: http://www.axminster.co.uk/axminster-trade-clamps-forged-quick-lever-guide-rail-clamp-ax945902 To use on site and with the tracksaw.
I like that system. Very neat. However I was more interested in being able to incorporate the systainers. Might just get a SYS-Roll.
Just buy the CAD drawings for $18 and pass on to your local CNC company. Otherwise, build your own using something like this: http://www.axminster.co.uk/ujk-technology-parf-guide-system-102278 if you need the holes perfectly aligned for using a tracksaw. If you meant the workstation it would need costing up but the plans are available for less than 8 euros. http://www.benchworks.be/mftc.html
I have been surprised how cheap the sys roller is for a Festool branded product. The DeWalt equivalent is around £200
