After painting a room a few times the paint seems to have some sort of ripple effect and isn't very smooth. I started in a back room to test it out and now worried about starting the main rooms in the house. Any idea what would be causing it? I assume the walls were ok before you painted them? It is your roller causing the ripples as you've overloaded with too much paint!!
You need to use a medium roller sleeve (short pile) for a smooth finish, & you should always wash a new roller before use. Been using these: http://www.screwfix.com/p/hamilton-perfection-roller-sleeve-medium-pile-9-x-1/10175 The 12" version has short pile.
