    Hi all,

I have a kitchen where the doors are mdf with plastic covering it. I have stripped the plastic off and its now nice smooth mdf. I assume i need to use oil based primer to start? But can I then put a waster based satinwood over it? Or will oil based only go with oil based? Im hoping for white and dont want an oil based gloss to turn yellow.

    Any solution's?

    Thanks

    S

I would try the Zinsser bulls eye primer sealer, then overcoat with their Perma paint which is available in several different finishes

As already mentioned apply Zinsser Bullseye 123 and finish with 2 coats of Dulux Diamond Eggshell in a colour of your choice .

one last question guys, what would be better hard wearing. The Zinsser self priming perma paint satin, dulux trade diamond eggshell or Ronseal one coat satin furniture?

    Thanks!

I would choose Diamond Eggshell myself it is also self undercoating. Buy a synthetic paint brush (Purdy) and a pack of 4" mohair rollers.
