Just a quick question about painting over filler (on plaster and wood).

On the plaster, is the best approach to water down the first coat of paint to seal the filler?

And with the wood, ok to go straight over with undercoat (acrylic) without watering down?

    Any advise appreciated! Thanks

In short....Yes to both questions although Zinsser Bullseye 123 would be a good investment as a high adhesion primer/sealer to have in your armoury!
