    Evening Gents....

    What's a typical fall on a 3 x 5metre patio. Just had mine laid and I like straight lines and levels, looking at mine I'm not sure if it's has too much fall on it. Should the fall be visible? It hasn't been pointed yet so I guess the lines are less noticeable when this is done? Not sure if I should pipe up before the pointing is done or not.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks.

    A fall of 1:60 is normally used on patios. The laid patio should be 150mm below damp proof course, and should fall away from the building.

    3m = 3000/60 = 50mm fall

    5m = 5000/60 = 83mm fall

    Yeah, it's a bit of a bummer for setting up the pool table!

    As above, though if the paving is of an uneven surface, ie: imitation yorkstone or similar you may expect it to have a little bit more fall but only an extra 25mm on the above figures.
