Refurbishing my dining table

    Thanks for you varied assortment of replies. Maybe it should be chucked : ( But... I have 3 young kids so just want to get rid of that flecking on it as it will take some abuse so could do with keeping it a few more years before getting a new one. Yes can confirm it is veneer. But the table itself is solid in construction. Also have 6 decent chairs with it in good nick. I'd just be happy with a quick kind of resolve. Happy to achieve a similar colour to what it already is.

    It calls for local Recycling center! Just go on ebay/gumtree and pickup a new table for under 10-20pounds and you are done...
    used furniture is so cheap/free...
