Repairing a flat roof

    Hi,

I have an outbuilding with a concrete roof that's leaking. The original roof is bitumen I think.

Looking at patching it - none too fussed about appearance as long as it waterproofs it.

    What's the best/cheapest option here?

I've been looking at using standard roofing felt over a brushed on bitumen paste.
Or a rubber sheet - not sure how these are fixed.
Since starting looking I've noticed there's felt you apply with a torch. Others that go down on hot bitumen. Underlays, membranes. I'm a bit lost lol.

Is standard (shed) roofing felt completely wrong here?

If you're interested in patching and you can see where the problem areas are, I'd go for a can of Evercryl and slap that on. If its widespread and just an outbuilding, a torch on felt would be my next thought.

Excellent product Evercryl, did bay window roof here, must be five years ago, it's still perfect.
