I have a flat roof on a rear dormer currently with a felt covering that was replaced almost 25 years ago and is coming to the end of its effective life.
My question is instead of replacing it with another felt covering should I consider having it tiled, what are the practicalities of extending the tiled roof over the flat dormer roof.
Are there building regs to be considered, what angle should the roof be pitched at, would the old felt roof need to be removed first or can the tiled roof be built over it.
the roof is not currently leaking but is sagging slightly in a couple of places
    Thanks

Have you not considered a GRP roof which usually has a 20 year guarantee They are not cheap but avoids any problems with Building Regs.
