I've been on here over 10 year now on and off and I'm still only "well known", as our other members here. All a bit weird really. Prob. based on how well you get along with other members, not rocking the boat, being rude etc.

I think its very odd. How can you have a situation where someone like Sean_ork who joined at the end of 2012 then gets himself banned, then comes back on and gets Screwfix Select straight away, and then hasn't posted for 18mths and still has the tag, wheras say Chippie, DA, Coloumb, Astramax, Rulland and myself and plenty of others have maybe 70 years of being on here between us and thousands of posts and none of us are.

I just think its very weird.

 

Just to make it clear, I am not that bothered about joining but I like others simply don't understand the criteria. Maybe it is that being "off message" is enough to bar you.

 

Maybe it's to do with how much you spend at Screwfix?

 

Sean_ork - I miss that guy; he was a good 'un . Anyone know where he is? I don't think he was banned from here - I certainly don't recall anything like that.

Anyways, 'select'... Is it not through an invitation to join, given after a certain time on here and/or number of postings?

I think (but ain't sure) that I was 'invited' to join when it started.

It's not an invertation, mine came after 500 likes, but that can't be the reason, otherwise DA would be Select. ????

I wonder if it done on amount of posts in a short time, I've only been here for 21/22 months, but have 4000+ posts. ?????

 

I expect it's based on committee/votes by the mods.
