    Hello,

I have square edged skirting with a single line which I think is one of the easier ones to install.

Just wanted to check. I had someone around who suggested that for this type of skirting you could eliminate doing 45 degree cuts at a number of the edges and instead just have the two pieces touch each other at the 90 degree angle. (kinda like > L)

I've looked online and I cannot see this method used much as was curious whether it is just a way of rushing it a bit.

    Thanks,

Yep, just but joint it on internals, would still require mitres on any externals though.

May require 'scribing' if your walls and angles are not true

Apart from saving time, I can't see any reason not to mitre.

Normally you mitre an exterior corner and scribe an internal, as you have nothing to scribe then internals could be butted.

Apart from saving time, I can't see any reason not to cut my lawn with toenail clippers.:p:D

Ok, apart from saving time, I can't see any reason not to paint my living room ceiling with a 1 1/2in wide roller.;)

No reason why not as long as you use Valspar paint, I hear that you can get a lot for your money at present! :)
