    Hi Everyone

I've fitted my own solid oak worktops with a butt joint but scribed the cut as walls not straight. Looked a good idea on Youtube!!

Unfortunately had an issue with circular saw and the cut isnt perfect and need advice on a filler that would do the job to fill a 2 mil gap at points

I've looked at Colorfill but don't know if this should be used for solid wood worktops or just for laminate.

I have some sawdust if mixing this with resin is a good idea?

    Any help much appreciated

    Cheers

    Do the cut again.

    Hi Chippie

I should have mention that I've cut the other end too and this fits snuggly up to the wall so don't have anymore waste to do the cut again.

    Cheers

Anything you do to the join other than recut it will be a bodge and very noticeable, a 2mm gap at the wall is less noticable and can be covered by a bead of silicon or an upstand.

Colourfill is no good really for solid stuff.

As Chippie says best approach is to redo it.

Is the gap on the joint or on the wall edge?

Any filling will look a bit of a mackle.

You could cut little slivers of oak and glue them in?

If you cant redo then a two pack filler would be the second best bet.

You can get an oakish one and a darker one and then mix them
