Isn't this absolutely brilliant. Just how rockets landed in the Eagle comic in the 50's & 60's. https://www.theguardian.com/science...et-successfully-lands-on-ocean-platform-video
Pretty impressive, it's amazing how technology has advanced so much, just in our lifetime,& in so many things. Medicine, the many fields/branches of engineering, etc. i find the new materials like composites, ceramics, etc, fascinating.
Computer Numerical Control. I did not know that. I presume it also uses GPS, altimeters and gyroscopes to input to the computer.
Composite metal foams (bulletproof foam) is very intresting, they are using it for light-weight composite armour, more effective than ceramic plate armour. http://www.popsci.com/metal-foam-stops-bullet-in-less-than-an-inch
Amazing . Further on in that website it mentions SpaceX in detail and I was interested to note that the drone ship is called "Of course I still love you" which is one of the many spaceship names used by the late Ian M Banks in his "Culture" SF novels, the last one being the Hydrogen Sonata.
Yes ;- As of March 2016, he has an estimated net worth of US$13.5 billion, making him the 75th wealthiest person in the US.[19] Mind boggling the wealth in America. and the inequality.
I did not mean any disrespect for him ,far from it . My point ,probably badly made , was that there are 74 people more wealthy than he is.
