3 men buy a T.V for £30, they pay £10 each. The next day the T.V salesman feels guilty as he's overcharged them, he should of charged them £25. So being crafty.. he phones them up and refunds them £1 each & puts £2 in his pocket. That means the 3 men have paid £9 each. 3 x £9 = £27. He put £2 in his pocket, so..£27 + £2 = £29? Where did the other £1 go????
Yes but his £2 is in the £27, the TV was £25 he still overcharged them by £2 once he'd refunded them a £1 back each, so the £2 he pocketed was from the £27 .
dear me dear me dear me wot did you learn in skool, you cannot add mulipy and divide in the same sum, tell um mr DEvs, what is it, Brackets,Muliply,Divide etc, bit like walking backwards in a train, the trains doing 100 mph you're walking 5 mph so you're actually travelling at 95 mph down the train but 105 up the train, there's books, readers and common sence,
Each man pays £9 so the sales man puts £27 pounds in his pocket. Not £2 as the OP is trying to trick you into believing.
Was the TV's being sold from the back of a car in a car park, by any chance http://www.southwalesargus.co.uk/ne..._selling_TVs_from_carparks_in_Newport/?ref=mr
