I am insulating my dormer loft conversion and using a variety of insulation methods to get the required u values.

Where I am putting my ensuite I don't want to use insulated plasterboard against a brick wall as I wish to tile that wall, and I want to tile to hardy backer or 12mm WBP ply.

I am fitting 80mm foil face insulation board, 1200 gauge DPM sealed round the area and taped off (holds moisture from reaching the brick and condensing) then the 12mm board then tiles.

My query, I will mech fix the insulation back to the brick, tape the DPM, but how do I best fix the plywood over this? Hammer fixings?

Would have thought just plugs and screws or concrete fixings (no plug needed)

You could always stud that wall off, Celotex between and over then fix whatever you want to tile to straight to the studs, get a strong and easy fixing then.
