I was a rocker here's pic of me and my 1970 triumph bonnie, in this pic we were touring Europe in 1973 I' believe this photo was in Holland but I can't be sure of the location,
I was a mocker because I'm an individual, not a sheep. My Lambretta had clip-ons n rearsets, and my DBD34 had loads of mirrors, lights n handlebar streamers. Btw, your '73 L-reg trumpet means you missed the mod/rocker thing by years. You were a greaser, old boy.
you're right about being an individual ( why is individual spelt so? dual; it should be indivimono) but anyrode there's only ONE thrudgie that's a fact
only one, they're all still alive and well but time moves on and people go different ways, Its hard to believe that was 40 years ago
Suppose I'm a bit of a hells angel I go to this event every year. https://www.facebook.com/bulldogbash2014?fref=photo
Yep the last 250cc single cylinder engines made (I think) A mate had a 350cc James motorbike with a single cylinder engine. Had fun trying to kick start that.
I had one of those too JJ it used to fire every lamp post but it had a fifth gear so once you got it wound up and in top gear it was pretty good for its day, 1st bike, honda 50 2nd. a vespa 200 3. a triumph tiger cub 4.matchless 250 5.royal enfield 250 6.BSA A10 goldflash 7.the bonnie T120 8.honda CB750 got wed,,,end of fun......
The 350cc motorbike my mate had was actually a James frame with a 350cc Villiers engine and gearbox shoe horned in.
I learnt n passed me test on an MV America with a Watsonian double adult sidecar. On passing, I sold the MV and lashed the sidecar to a nice new R1 on which I still ride today.
That Tour of Europe was a couple of years before my time. Looks like an awesome trip across Europe though. I can only imagine what shenanigans you got up to!!
