which is better for clearing brambles and nettles etc this https://www.transtools.co.uk/image/cache/data/garden-tools/SIL427615-500x500.jpg or this http://www.supremeplumb.com/imgs/NH/SILGT54.jpg
For brambles a Irish slasher is a better tool, your second image is a Dunse Slasher, which is better for laying hedges, than trimming brambles. And wear eye protection when using it. Even better is a petrol brush cutter with metal blade. Also a Brushing hook could be use,has a slightly more curve blade, I have always prefer the Irish slasher. https://www.cromwell.co.uk/shop/hand-tools/bill-and-grass-hooks/3813-36"-hereford-brushing-hook/p/BDG5223813H?utm_campaign=pla-Hand+Tools+-+&utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping-pla&utm_keyword=BDG5223813H&istCompanyId=6aa6787b-063e-4414-802d-129f235df603&istItemId=aqrxxpamt&istBid=tztx&gclid=CKmF9fHexdQCFWUq0wodFgoL6Q http://www.spear-and-jackson.com/product/hooks-and-slashers/spear-jackson-irish-slasher http://www.spear-and-jackson.com/product/hooks-and-slashers/spear-jackson-staff-brushing-hook
