What isolating valves do I need?

  1. 'Ello.

My bro is getting a couple of Grundfos UPA 15-90N (160) Domestic Home Booster pumps and I'm trying to sort out all the associated parts he'll need.

This data sheet on this page (not where I'm getting them...): https://www.completepumpsupplies.co...estic-home-2?gclid=CP-50aKHqckCFYIcGwod--UNaw says the pump has 1/2" BSPF unions supplied as standard, so i presume that means the pump ports are sized & threaded 1/2" BSPF ?

Can you tell me what isolating valves - with 22mm pipe ends - would be suitable, please?

    Ta very muchly.

  2. Grundfos tell me the ends are 1" and gave me a link to the spec sheet which says - Pipe connection: G1

    ( https://product-selection.grundfos.com/product-detail.html?application=&area=&family=&from_suid=14483800535720645816091220819&hits=1&installation=&productnumber=59539509&qcid=58841472&scenario=Quick+product+search&searchstring=59539509&step=1&subtype=&type= )

It's occurred to me that actual isolating valves are not needed as the supplies should have their own already fitted, so chust straight connectors required.

The plumber should have 1" to 22mm unions, shouldn't he? Or, do SF sell them so's I can have my bro get everything ready?

    (So, 1/2" BSPF is the same as 1" G? :( )

Hang on - I've just rechecked the first link above, and it points to the pump ends as says 3/4" BSPF. It says 1/2" BSPF unions supplied as standard. What the...?

what the,,,,,,,,, indeed Mr Devs, its saying the male thread is 3/4 inch, its also saying that 1/2 inch female fittings are supplied, from that I'm assuming that you'll need 2-, 3/4 fi x 1/2 male adaptors,
    I'd get 2 of these, http://www.screwfix.com/p/female-coupler-15mm-x/38542

If your gunna get everything prepped for the plumber and your not certain if it's inch or 3/4 then get both...you can always return them...best to be prepared :D

  6. Thanks. I'm thinking the plumber will have these 'stewards himself so prob won't bother?

Mr Plum, this forum - my only forum - is already one forum too many, so's I better not go any further...
