Fairly sure I have a diverter valve problem. Heating works fine, hot water works fine but radiators come on when the hot water is on even though thermostat is not calling for it. Qn is, is it likely to be the valve itself or the head? I'm fairly handy, it looks fairly easy to replace once the system is drained?? The programmer is wired so that the HW channel has to be on for the hot water to work. This is different to my conventional combi as the running of the tap switches the boiler on. Has it been wired correctly? Appreciate any help please.
Hi Just read your post, not sure of the question? You mention a 3 port, and a combi? Do you have a boiler and cylinder or combi? Regards Peter
Remove the diverter head and see if it is stuck and whether the valve moves easily. The HW needs to be switched on to maintain the temperature of the heatstore. Oil boilers combis work differently to gas.
