Cant Drill Into Wall With SDS Drill

Heller TriJet sds bits would be my first choice as mentioned earlier, or Bosch.

You shouldn't need to push on the drill,the weight of the drill & hammer within the drill will do all the work, if you apply too much pressure, you'll only blunt & overheat the drill bit.

 

The sds bit is located and locked in the chuck correctly?.

 

You have to apply a certain amount of pressure.

 

There is a little compression between the SDS chuck and body - it is part of the design

 

I agree with chippie, the SDS works best under pressure to make the action work.

 

As others have said sds should fly in, probably stupid to suggest it but you do have the hammer action on don't you ?

 

You can have too much pressure/force.

 

I'm talking hammer action.

 

I'm using DeWalt drilling set for many years. So far it is working good.

 

You don't have the drill in reverse do you? I've done that

 

May have drilled the hole by now ...
