I suppose if i bring the blocks level with nxt doors slab it should workout ok Do i still need to sister 2 2x4's for the sides?
Next question ... I dont want to build the walls then fit them into place as im doing this alone (except installing the roof) so whats the easiest way to go about it? Cheers
Kind of a nonsense, considering im not a carpenter or a builder and have never built anything like this before of course i dont know what im doing thats the point of the thread. Knowone knows anything until they know it
Moving on... Im gonna do the base as cheap as possible, so hav requested quotes for a concrete slab and if that is to much ill be looking into doing a perimeter footing and simply building my walls on that then i can concrete the inside when its done Opinions?
Ok concrete slab to much hassle, poor access etc. Im gonna pour a strip footing around the perimeter of the shed and build the walls on that, but i have a few questions, 1. how deep should i dig the trench 2. On the boundary with my neighbor i want to build the wall right up against his slab, but shouldnt the wall be built in the center of the footing? Any way around this?
Guess what i changed my mind again 2x4 frame supported by blocks every 2ft Gonna come up with the layout now
Ok ok 4" slab, i have a shed load of old concrete im gonna smash up (really) 15 bags of cement, 30 bags of sand and some poor sod i rope into helping me Question is how long will it take to mix 1.1m3 of concrete by hand? Should i hire a mixer? Hss have a 110 litre diesel mixer anyone know how much it can mix per load? And seriously i wont change my mind again, im not allowed
